Marlee and Bob's engagement photos

Had so much fun exploring the loop with Marlee and Bob where we smartly rescheduled from last weekend (when is was -20 below... aaaaaahhh!) and we ended up with a gorgeous day! These two were such troopers and were up for anything- even my frequent calls for "nuzzling". I'm looking forward to their wedding this fall where I'm expecting to see some pretty impressive art made out of cheese ; )

we made sure to get a few shots in front of the icerink- where bob proposed!

more nuzzling ; )
and to end- in front of the cool (hee hee) ice sculptures in millennium park

P.A.D.S.

had an assingment to document a local family helping out a great cause on sunday at a PADS location.PADS = Public Action to Deliver Shelter. The goal of the program is to provide hospitality, food, and emergency shelter to homeless people from October 1 through April 30 of each year. The sites are staffed entirely by volunteers, who prepare, supervise, and clean sleeping accommodations. They also provide, prepare, and offer dinner, breakfast, and a sack lunch, all in a welcoming, supportive, safe environment.

the emerald city

after college i moved out west and spent a year in seattle- its such a gorgeous town with so much cool stuff so close- cascade and olympic mountains, lake washington and union, pacific ocean, san juan islands- its definitely a wonderland for outdoor lovers! so we headed back last weekend to visit friends and get a seattle fix- our original plan was to head up to the mountains- but due to massive snowfall amounts the passes were closed and avalanche alerts were issued.

so instead we bundled up in our ski gear and took out tom's boat for some cruising! (no -griff in the center of my collage didn't come- he just looks so cute here i had to add it)
houseboats on lake union

weaving through the fisherman's terminal where we stopped for breakfast

birds in the shipping canal
tourist look on as we navigate through the locks- which take us from lake union's fresh water to the salt water elliot bay on the puget sound
tying up the lines

waiting for the water to rise...
we had to stop by the famed market where they were giving away free hugs!
a huger

yumm.....fresh fish
pete contemplating which garland to buy...
weighing out some fruit for our superbowl feast
heading away from downtown and back to the canal
