one year old nicolas!

My friend Nancy stopped by to get some photos with her adorable son Nicolas who is almost 1! Being a photographer herself, she has tons of amazing photos of Nicolas, but not many with them together as she is always the one behind the camera. So we hit the park and lake and got tons of shots of the two of them. Nicolas helped make my job easy as he is such a happy little guy and always has a huge grin on- what a cutie!

air + water show

my long lenses are in the shop getting some much needed cleaning but i brought along my point and shoot to grab a few shots of the air and water show... the fam hopped aboard suz and tony's boat for an amazing view and an awesome time on the lake!

a park visit with griff

we have an amazing park 2 blocks from our house, besides tons of open space it has these awesome prairie trails filled with native grasses and wildflowers and right now the sunflowers tower over our heads. we go every day with griffey and i hardly ever bring the camera, but last night the light was just gorgeous so i grabbed it and documented our trip...

had the easiest photo shoot ever today...

my subject slept the whole time!

so we changed his clothes, moved him into good light, propped him up by fun backgrounds...
and he hardly even made a peep!

Congratulations Cathy & Steve!

These two tied the knot in Maui last month in a small private ceremony, but had a bash this weekend in Chicago for their friends and family. Congratulations to the happy couple!

summer- and the living is easy!

had a great time last week hanging out with bridget (a close family friend) and her 3 kids at the lakehousemeet will, gretta and jake as they make a big splash into the pooljack gets in on the actionall together now...some dramatic dives!will blew all his christmas money on his helmet which he informs me is a drone, not a stormtrooper (drones are good- stormtroopers are evil) jack and will squirt griffey with water- which they all enjoyed, and will poses and shows off his gorgeous blue eyes! the whole gang heads off on a hike
avery loves hanging out with the big kids! a trip to the go-cart track where jack looks a little nervous before the start, and jake takes the lead! bridget and the kids strike a pose on the lawnso fun to see you all! love kris
