i didn't do a card this year (okay... i never do a card) but here are the cards i designed for my sis and my mom. (yes- for my mom's card we kinda just recycled her mother's day present- but it works!) just thought i would share them :) i won't be blogging again til after new year's but i have many portrait sessions to share from the last few weeks (i don't want to post them too soon and ruin any christmas surprises) i will also have photos from our upcoming road trip to colorado with many stops along the way visiting friends and family. happy holidays everyone!

wasting time...
i have mountains of editing to finish up before christmas and my trip out west- but instead i just wasted i don't know how long surfing the net and designing a "photo booth" style filter (see results below- cool- no? ) but probably not the wisest way to spend my time right now- and then i'm blogging about wasting my time which wastes even more time- it's pretty much a downward spiral. i think the only thing left to do is turn off the computer to clear my head...must quit typing...must turn off computer...must quit making lists....must quit using the word must....

Congratulations Jenny + Andy!
All the photos from this wedding will be posted to my proofsite by January 5th, for the event code use Jenny's maiden name.

I just got back from Austin, Texas where I was shooting a wedding with a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom, the most remarkable flower arrangements, a stunning bar made out of ice, an amazing wall made out of roses, a rocking band, awesome lighting and decor and most importantly a room full of family and friends celebrating a beautiful union! I have known Jenny and her family forever and their generosity and fun loving nature was carried over into every part of the wedding day making it such a joy to document!
A big thank you to Tony Ku of Ku Photography who helped me out with the photos and did an amazing job! Here are a few of the other vendors who helped make this wedding so incredible...
Ceremony Site: First United Methodist Church of Austin
Reception Site: Four Seasons of Austin
Wedding Consultant: Amy @ Platinum Events
Music: Emerald Entertainment, Penguin Entertainment and Lake Austin Strings
Flowers: David Krio, Lighting: First In/Last Out, Sculptures: Amazing Ice Designs, Guest Book: Get the Picture, Cake: The Cake Plate
And onto the photos...

I love this shot that Tony captured... looks like the groomsmen are licking the ice bar? Refreshing ; )

Jenny and Andy- I loved getting to document your wedding and I can't wait to share the rest! Hope you are having a blast in the Maldives! Love Kris

Facebook!
i am a facebook nerd, have been a member for a while now, but just recently started to get into it and it's so fun to reconnect with old friends and clients! it's also a great way to connect with other photographers and talk about the biz. i just started an iKLiKphoto facebook page which I will try and keep updated with recent shots.
i have started to get requests from clients and friends of clients to post photos from recent events online so they can show them to friends and i'm always happy to share. so if you are on facebook too, you can join the iKLiKphoto group by clicking here, or add me as a friend by clicking here and i will try and add some photos of your event!
and since no blog entry is complete without a photo- here's a shot from a fishing trip on lake michigan this summer, what it has to do with facebook....no idea!
