On the way home from Colorado we stopped in Des Moines so I could meet my friend Dave's new baby girl! And of course I had to snap a few photos as well. She is adorable- congratulations guys!!!

Family Portraits

A few days before Christmas I headed over to the Gross home to get some formal shots of the whole family that was in town for the Holidays. It was so fun to see you all!

Baby Katie!

She is Pete's adorable niece and she gets cuter every time I see her! While in Omaha after Christmas we fit in a mini session and also snapped a few with her proud parents! I made these images a little more vintage feeling. I'm also experimenting with watermarking my images (as you can probably tell) maybe these are a bit too large? But lately I have been posting my images to other sites as well so I want people to know how to find me :-)

Katie has the most gorgeous huge blue eyes- just like her mama!


I think we should call that last one her "What you talking about Willis?!" face.

Colorado!

As promised (and in totally random order- sorry), a few pics from our road trip to Colorado!

We rented a dog friendly house in Boulder so we could bring the pup and could easily day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park or the ski resorts.




Pete is getting to be quite the photographer himself- I thought he got some cool pics -or maybe it's just my excellent post-processing skills ;-0


We loved taking our christmas present (new snowshoes- thanks dad!) out for a hikes in RMNP

Pete loved it soo much he said he wanted to cancel our ski plans and just do that the whole trip!

I did manage to talk Pete into skiing and we spend a day at Loveland, it was the highlight of my visit- as it's been a few years since i hit the slopes and we had a great time!


We also did tons of hiking around Boulder with Griffey who loved it up there- their city park, Chitaqua, was quite amazing and we found some other great trails as well.






New Year's eve we went out for a big meal- but were so exhausted from all the skiing and hiking and snowshoeing that we were starting to fall asleep at the table and had to take our last courses to go!



We were passed out by 11- man we are getting old if we can't stay up on NYE!

Meet adorable Amelia (Millie) She is the daughter of one of my brother's best friends- it was so wonderful to meet her and get to see Jim as a dad! She is just gorgeous you guys - Congratulations!

Back from vacation!

happy new year! just got back from an amazing week in colorado with lots of hiking, snowshoeing & skiing. here are a few photos from hiking around boulder with the pup- i have many more to share. i also got caught up with the editing from my recent photoshoots on the loooooong car ride and will be posting tons of images to the blog in the next few weeks and of course to my proofsite too so check soon to see your event up there.
