Meet Griffey!
He's our new black lab puppy! he is named after pete's favorite baseball player from his favorite team- Ken Griffey Jr of the Cincinati Reds. 
we have been looking at dogs for a while, i loved my sister's boxer and our friends have an awesome american bulldog but we hadn't really thought of labs...
but someone at pete's work advertised on their inter-office board that they had a litter of 7 little lab puppies and pete insisted we take a look- one look and we were hooked- griffey came home with us sunday afternoon
it took him a bit to get the concept of going on a walk or getting up and down the stairs- but he is starting to get the hang of it
now we just have to teach him...everything else! 
but he is already pretty good at sleeping...

CUTE DOG if ONE LIKES DOGS..... Kris.... being a part of this family means spelling the favorite sports team's name correctly.... (i am such a goofus) it is Cincin NATI - not cincinatti......just remember were are sin-sin-NATI. i am sure griff will appreciate your correcting this tiny error as an self respecting dog named after a Queen City player deserves to have his pseudo birthplace spelled correctly.... in the spirit of typographical correctness only, i remain... BIG POPPA

Dude, did you ever know i got a yellow lab named Phinney...like 2 years ago? You both should know what the name means....your dog looks awesome. Phinney and Griffey definitely need to hang out soon.
