T + D Wedding

congratulations teresa and dave!!! it was so fun to document the gorgeous wedding of great friends. i have known dave for as long as i have known pete and i'm so happy he found someone as sweet and beautiful as teresa...cause lord knows they all weren't so sweet and cute. (pete made me write that!)

the wedding was held at the scenic jester park lodge in granger, iowa and i loved how they integrated their 11 month old daughter, isla, into the ceremony. we had misty skies and some light rain showers but still mangaged to fit in everything we wanted outside. teresa and dave chose to see each other before the ceremony so we had plenty of time for pictures. after dinner the skies cleared and guests enjoyed amazing views of the lake and a beautiful evening.

iowa- you make me smile (this was the old state slogan....good fun) -so does playing with my new lens- and summer - and seeing so many old friends and weddings and the 4th of july - and hiking with my dog- which were all part of my amazing weekend- here are a few snaps....can't wait to share more pics from T+D's big day - will get some up soon

brooks i first met when he was a itty bitty newborn- and now he is 6 months! we had some sprinkles when we headed outside for photos- luckily brooks looks adorable when sporting his rain cap- what a cutie! so fun to see you guys again :)

piper is 1!

im behind on my blogging but i had to jump ahead and post some photos that i took on sunday because it was so fun to see little miss piper again. i first photographed her last summer when she was just a few months old and now she is ready to celebrate her first birthday! amazing to see how fast she has grown. she is too adorable and i loved seeing the photos from our last shoot up on the walls. happy birthday piper and it was great to see you all! :) kris

my very prego friend nancy stopped by last week to get some belly pics with her son nicholas. her baby boy is due any second now...i can't wait to meet him!

a few favorite snaps from the other nights engagement shoot with jim and elise who will be tying the knot this winter in sunny florida. so fun to meet you guys and take in some classic chicago spots!

went down to an engagement shoot last night by buckingham fountain and saw they were setting up for taste of chicago, found all these wall tops that eventually turn into the food booths and loved how they looked stacked together so had to grab a few shots.

N + K engagement (part 2)

i just couldn't resist posting a few more pics from niki and kevin's awesome session as we got soo many cute ones! these shots were taken right across the street from my place, i have this cool old factory building that i can't believe i haven't used before....well i guess i have used it for a photoshoot...but this is the first time in a photoshoot that wasn't of my dog ; )

N + K Engagement

okay, so maybe i'm biased, but i seriously have the cutest couples ever for clients and these two are another adorable example of that! we hit my favorite park for some nature shots and then under the el tracks for a more urban feel. we scheduled our shoot right at the golden hour- when the light is oh so yummy!
it was so fun hanging out with you guys- i can't wait for your wedding in august!
